Suburban Life

Tour our Classic Southern beauty.

It was our dream house in Dallas, TX.  A wrap around porch lined with French doors and windows welcomed our neighbors right inside. Read more about our design inspiration here.  I hand-selected every detail of this Southern beauty. Andrea-JPC_3413 copy5

= Foyer =

We love the ambiance of gas lamps. There are two flanking the front door and one inside the foyer. We never turned them off.

= Kitchen =

We used reclaimed items to infuse character and charm.  The corbels under the hood were an Indiana find, the Newell posts were from an old Chicago house, and the windows above the sink are from a Wisconsin farm-house.  The farm sink is actually new, but looks vintage.

= Master Bathroom =

We loved the huge air tub, double vanities, vintage tile, and marble shower.

= Guest Bathroom =

We loved the hexagon tile and school-house sconces in this bath.  Here we had a carpenter turn our babies’ changing table into the sink vanity.

 = Laundry Room & Craft Room =

Here is a peek into my favorite room!  It was my messy room where I worked on projects and managed laundry for 5.

= Boy Bedroom =

Our boys have always shared a room.  We tell them it’s preparing them for dorm life one day!  The upstairs dormers are filled with desks and window seats.

= Boy Bathroom =

This bathroom is huge and perfect for sharing.  I love the inexpensive, outdoor lights paired with vintage tile.

= Margaret’s Bathroom =

I love her built-in shelves and grey octagon & dot tile.  Her walk-in closet is also in the bathroom.DSC_4243

= Gas Firepit =

We loved to gather around the fire with s’mores and friends.  It was one of our favorite “rooms” in the house.Firepit
